The below code is showing syntax error at line 21 where else: is given. Could anyone pls tell me what is wrong with it?

I tried this code:
def multiply_numbers(x, y):
if x>y:
return x
else:
return x*y
print(multiply_numbers(4, 5))
It says syntax error on line 4. Can someone please help out?

why doesnt this work?
name_gender_type = ['Female','female','Male','male']
if input()==(name_gender_type):
print ("hi")
else:
print ("ooh try again")
i cant get it to say hi, only ooh try again

return new.
please the unittest is still telling me that my code failed the "only lists" allowed test.what do I do.
