How to break down words into lists on python

Question

So im making a program that needs a list of letters of words
Lets say:
You have word hi
List will be contain h and i
h + i = hi
Python var list will look like this(i think): [h,i]

list(word)

Answer 2

Prints the sorted list of unique letters:

w = "yourword"
l = sorted(set(w))
print(l)
