Safety Deposit Boxes
The code coach question starts with "You are robbing a bank, but you’re not taking everything. You are looking for a specific item in the safety deposit boxes" Actually, my question is different and a bit off-topic. I am feeling uncomfortable dealing with that. Why does SL post this weird problem promoting something illegal? I am just curious.

Eyad Al-Ahmar i think the answer is that most people find the idea of robbing a bank and looking for soemthing specific so bizarre and removed from reality they don’t see a connection to it to find it offensive. If someone actually has to deal with this as a reality it would be more real and maybe find this disturbing. For example, a lot of people think of war as romantic and cool but if you have relatives and friends in a real battleground and you are praying daily for their welfare then suddenly the idea of war loses its appeal.

Eyad Al-Ahmar, Zvi
it's probably a cultural faux pas.
what's funny and acceptable in one culture or even segment in one society might be inappropriate in another.
in a more informal western society, the lesson is viewed in a light, non-serious context. like watching a movie or a role-playing game. it's assumed that the reader knows better not to do something illegal, but just treat it as a fantasy game. so there's nothing offensive about it.
but that might be viewed as taboo for more strict cultures where everything is serious and no fantasy is allowed.
so there we have it, a conflict where non was intended. an attempt for a playful tone interpreted in the wrong manner becomes a big issue.
it's one of the pitfalls of trying to be everything for everyone.
it's an impossible task.
just accept that things will always be different for everyone and try to keep an open mind.

Hi, Eyad Al-Ahmar . You could send them a feedback regarding your concern.

Eyad Al-Ahmar Hello. If you are referring regarding the response time of SoloLean, via email, I believe it would take a week or two. It depends actually, I was just basing my answer from my own experience. If you emailed them, maybe you could receive an early response, or may be longer. It really depends on the SoloLearn's end.

Pat I appreciate your time and helpful information
That tiny question isn't worth sending an email. I'm just chilling here.. but I feel that the QA section is no longer active like before..

Things like that aren't important in solution solving

Not a mentor here or anything - just a fellow sololearner. Can't we create a safe space for the SoloLearn community, at least virtually, and promote inclusion & diversity? I believe we are all here to learn, grow, and master our programming skills, so please let's just focus on that and refrain from unnecessary remarks.

Zvi yyyyeeah you're right
we are getting more away from the topic with this one..
I am just existing here as someone isolated from my horrible reality and focusing on this innocent platform. As SL is universal & legit this code coach text shouldn't exist right?

Pat you’re right. But i didn’t think my comment was insulting to the OP. He clearly writes in his profile “Syria the most terrible country in the world. I know”. So this wasn’t an insult to him I was just pointing out the irony that I think people from his country have more on their plate than a hypothetical case that never really happened. But yeah, if people are taking offense we should definitely put our differences aside and just code peacfully. If anyone else thinks its offensive i will remove the comment.

Hi, Zvi . I respect your opinion. But please let us remind ourselves that we all have SoloLearn Q&A Guidelines to follow.

Zvi not from my end. Maybe others' end. Idk

Pat you are right. That's why I just typed "I am just curious"
But we sometimes ask something like that, which may not be related directly to coding and cannot be asked elsewhere.
I hope to get an answer by the end.. no?
