Why isn't there a Python 2 on code playground?

I think it would be much better if we had python 2 in addition to python 3

Once you learn either branch of Python, you've learned Python. Transitioning from one to the other is just a matter of learning their respective syntaxes, modules, etc. Development time would be better used in creating a course on a different programming language.
