Unity collision detection

Hi, am currently making a mobile game using unity and I am having trouble activating a panel when two of my assets collide, please help.

Have you tried the OnCollisionEnter function? https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Collider.OnCollisionEnter.html
